New signing Thierry Audel impressed on his debut at Boston United this afternoon. We caught up with him after the game to get his thoughts on his move.

“It is a new challenge for me, I am happy as you are when you start an exciting challenge, and it has been a good start for me so far.

The team just missed out on the play offs last year so hopefully we can reach them next season”

The French defender, who can play at right back or centre back signs following his release by Notts County and has a further one year option, which is performance based.
Audel, 30, was born in Nice and played for several clubs in his Youth career including Auxerre. His Senior career has seen him play in France, Italy and England.

Thierry made the move to England in 2013, appearing 19 times for Macclesfield before signing for Crewe Alexandra for an undisclosed fee. Following two loan spells at Lincoln City, he signed for Notts County in 2015 where he has played in League Two since.

Thierry was our 9th signing of the Summer.
