The Bluebirds played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient last weekend at the Furness Building Society Stadium. Barrow twice came from behind to level through Bedsente Gomis and Jordan White after goals from David Mooney and Craig Clay for the visitors.

Shaw Lane:

Shaw Lane’s last game was on Monday against Buxton FC. Goals from Paul Clayton and Alex Byrne secured three points for the Ducks.

The FA Cup Campaign so far:

Whilst Sundays FA Cup tie is the Bluebirds first of the the 2017/18 season, opponents Shaw Lane have already played, and won, three FA Cup ties this season.

The hosts began this seasons FA Cup campaign by recording their first ever FA Cup victory, beating Radcliffe Borough 3-1 at Sheerien Park in the first qualifying round. Two goals from Chib Chilaka and a third from man of the match David Norris put them through to the next round.

They were drawn away against Blyth Spartans in the second qualifying round. In what was a close game Shaw Lane took the lead early on through Paul Clayton. Blyth levelled the scores in the second half, before Damien Reeves scored in the last minute to see Shaw Lane through to the third qualifying round.

In the third qualifying round the Ducks faced Lancaster City at Sheerien Park. Two goals from Damien Reeves saw them win 2-1, securing a place in the draw for the fourth qualifying round and ultimately setting up Sundays tie.
