Match Preview - Barrow v Maidstone United

All you need to know as we prepare to host Maidstone United in the Vanarama National League.

Barrow v Maidstone United
Saturday 30th September
Furness Building Society Stadium

Recent Form:

The Bluebirds fell to a narrow 3-2 defeat at Sutton United last weekend.

The game was level at half time with Byron Harrison equalising from the spot after Aswad Thomas’ free kick from the touch line found its way all the way into the net.

Two goals from Sutton in 3 minutes at the start of the second half have the Bluebirds a mountain to climb and despite Harrison grabbing a second goal midway through the second half, they couldn’t find an all important equaliser.

We currently sit in 19th place with 12 points after 12 games.

Maidstone United:

Maidstone found themselves picking up only a point last weekend despite being 2-0 up against 10 man Gateshead.

The visitors had Theo Vassell sent off in the 10th minute after a foul in the area and Zavon Hines put the resulting spot kick away before Alex Wynter doubled their lead in the second half.

Their lead was only two goals clear for 2 minutes however as Richard Peniket rounded the keeper and pulled one back for Heed. And Heed grabbed an equaliser ten minutes from time, Danny Johnson lashing home a 20 yard strike.

Maidstone sit in 9th place with 19 points after 12 games.
