Barrow Land Exciting Striker Prospect
Barrow have signed tall 22 year-old striker, Aaron Bowen, following his return to England from a short stint in Australia.
Bowen returned early from a spell with Shepperton United, where Shaun Pearson & Kelvin Lomax currently play, due to homesickness.
The former Skelmersdale and Cammel Laird hitman has had a host of clubs chasing him and Barrow boss, Dave Bayliss, was a relieved man when he finally got his man on Wednesday evening.
Bayliss said "Aaron agreed terms three weeks ago but then went to America on holiday. He has had about 15 clubs chasing him so you are also worried someone is going to offer him more money and we lose him. This lad has the potential to have a great future".
Bayliss' Number 2 Alex Meechan joined Barrow Football Secretary / Director, Russell Dodd, to sign the six foot-plus striker on a one year contract at Bowen's Liverpool home.
