Born in Zanzibar in Tanzania, Adi was on the books of Leicester City before being released in the summer of 2011. Before that he had a spell out on loan with Tamworth for whom he scored twice in ten games. In the summer of 2011 he joined Burton Albion and over two years made twenty five first team appearances, scoring once befoi=ore moiing on to Lincoln City.
He played just two games for City in the 2013-14 season but has spells out on loan with Gainsborough Trinity – two games; one goal; Harrogate Town – two games and Histon six games; two goals before being released. He spent the 2014-15 season with Oxford City in Vanarama North and netted twenty seven goals in thirty nine games. That earned him a move in the summer of 2015 to Mansfield Town.
Over that season with the Stags he netted five times in twenty six games and was then loaned out at the start of the 2016-17 season to Crawley Town. He scored twice in sixteen games for the Sussex based side but his loan was ended at the end of December 2016 when he was released by Mansfield Town and signed for Grimsby Town. He scored twice for them in elven games over the rest of the 2016-17 season. He joined Barrow in July 2017.
