Born 6th January 1972 in Nottingham, Paul Cox is currently the manager of Barrow.
In an eleven year career as a player, he played in the football league with his hometown club Notts County making his debut against Manchester City in April 1992. He played over 40 matches for Notts County and was released in 1994/95 season dropping down into non-league football, where he had 5 seasons with Kettering Town, and also had spells at Halifax Town and Hucknall Town.
He moved into coaching in 2003, with Eastwood Town, becoming the manager in 2005. He won the Northern Premier League in 2008/09, and left the club for Mansfield Town in 2011, with whom he won the Conference Premier title in 2012/13, before leaving in November 2014.
In June 2015 he was confirmed as the new manager of National League team Torquay United, he resigned after 3 months. On the 23rd November 2015 Paul became the manager of Barrow.
