Niall Canavan’s red card in Tuesday night’s game at Bristol Rovers has been overturned after the Club made an appeal to the Football Association.
The Bluebirds defender was sent-off just 32 minutes into the contest at The Memorial Stadium after the referee adjudged him to have denied a clear goalscoring opportunity.
However, an appeal was quickly lodged by the Club, and it has now been confirmed that an independent panel has reviewed the incident and overturned the red card.
Canavan would have been due to serve a two-game suspension but will now be free to play in Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two game against Walsall at The Dunes Hotel Stadium.
